1970 Dodge Challenger Hemi SS-DA, Black / Red
1970 Dodge Challenger Hemi SS - DA with 426 Hemi engine and this is a world record setting Challenger which was raced by Keenan O'Connell and Eddie Lampton back in the late 70's-80's. It set 2 world records in SS/DA and also won the door-slammer nationals in Kentucky in the 80's. It set the 1/8th mile record and held it for 6yrs in IHRA from '80-'86, also set and held the 1/4 mile record for 2 yrs. Keenan is in the drag racing hall of fame in Owensburg KY. It has a fresh Hemi with 20 runs on it, set up for SS/DA, 10.5:1 pistons, H beam rods, steel forged crank, 574 solid lift Mopar perf cam, Mopar perf heads and the same Edelbrock rat roaster intake that was on it when the records were set. Auto transmission with a 4000 stall, and 5:13 gears in the Dana 70 rear with 40 spline axles. Has a gorgeous paint job, new Hoosier 14x32 slicks in the back and Moroso drag specials up front. This is a piece of Mopar racing history that set records and won major races. This is probably the best driving Challenger I've ever driven, Eddie Lampton says the same. Goes straight as an arrow, and is set up like it was when it held the records. Has never been restored only repainted.
