1970 Ford Torino Fairlane 500, White/Blue, 35,000 Miles

1970 Ford Torino Fairlane 500. 8 Cylinder. Gasoline Engine. Automatic Transmission. VIN Number: 0B28F139599.

This 1970 Ford Torino Fairlane 500 is a great running, solid, pretty car. Drives great with plenty of take off. Is a real eye opener when you drive it down the road. It has been garage kept and covered except if I drive it to town during the summer only. This car has had no restoration done on it. Has Clear Title. Second Owner.

Has lightly tinted windows w/eyebrow on windshield. PS, AT, 2BBL, 302V8, Standard brakes, 4DR, Sedan. "Original mileage is 35,175." Newer WSW Dayton Quads tires bought in 6/2006; at 34,000 mi. Ford Factory Wire Rim Hubcaps; new 1995; + the Original Hubcaps. Duel GlassPacs w/ teardrop end of pipes. A DASH MAT dash cover. Car cover from J.C. Whitney. Spare tire & jack in trunk. All lights, turn lights, horn works. I have had no indication that the rubber around the doors need replaced. I also have two mounted, studded snow tires that will go with the car. Has the molding strip down the sides of the car, really sets it off. Original floor mats. Factory books in car. Seats in like new condition.

New Brake Master cylinder & Idler arm (NOS) on 5/00 at 24,607 mi. New Plug Wires (Lifetime Warranty.) on 8/00 at 25,597 mi. Two new U-joints, differential seals & rear end oil, Pinion seal on 5/01 at 26,333 mi. New Interstate battery on 12/2002 at 27,405 mi. New Heater core, thermostat, antifreeze (flushed), water outlet on 5/2004 at 28,485 mi. Rebuilt Carburetor on 4/2006 at 31,000 mi. New Starter, points, Condenser & Oil sending unit on 6/2006 at 34,190 mi.

Does not have A/C, Radio or Carpeting. "Car is original (except tinted windows)." I have no doubt that it would be classified as a "SURVIVOR CERTIFIED" collector car. Because it is over 40 years old and over 90% of the car is as it was when it came off the Factory Floor. Per David Burroughs who is over the Survivor Certified Cars meeting.

This car is 41 years old so it has a few things that a potential buyer might want to fix on it:

Needs heat shield between Starter & manifold. (bought that way in 1995). Adjustable drivers side mirror needs knob removed and readjusted. Three window handles need new knobs on them. The top of the back seat (drivers side) has two places on it where it has worn through the covering. There is a small hole in the trunk where a welder at a muffler shop was fixing the tailpipe hanger. There is one small place on the car that it has rusted through, on quarter panel, underneath behind back wheel well. You can not see it unless you look for it. All other rust on the car is only superficial. Small scratch on the paint, driver's side back quarter panel. The car needs the cover molding & chrome ring over the (inside) double headlights on the passenger side.

After 1970 Ford made no more Fairlane 500's, called a Torino Fairlane 500. There was 25,780 made that year. I have the original sales window sticker for this car. Since 1999, I have the receipts for and written in a small booklet work done on the car

All numbers match on the car. The car numbers reflect its model: Car Chassis 1970; Year 0; Plant B; Body 28; Engine F; Unit 139599; Model 54B; Color M; Trim 3B; Date 12/69; DSO 46; Axle 3; Trans W.
