1969 Ford Mustang Rebuilt, Blue/Blue, 150,000 Miles
1969 Ford Mustang, 351 290hp 8 cylinder, automatic transmission. Blue with Blue interior, garage kept, non-smoker, service records available. 50,000 Miles on Engine.
This car was born in Dearborn Michigan in 1969 and sold by Corberly Ford in Los Angeles on Sept. 20, 1969. I purchased it in Nov. of 2007 from the original owner who is now 73 years young. This car has a 351 cubic inch Windsor engine with 50,000 miles on it. The heads were just rebuilt with new valves, guides and hardened seats. For more reliability I installed an Edelbrock manifold and 600 CFM carburetor. On a trip to Morro Bay I was getting 14-15 MPG.
Note: For the purist I retained all of the Autolite parts for a future point car entry if one desires to enter in a total stock class.
Most of the accessories for the engine are either new or rebuilt. All of the engine bay wiring has been replaced along with the horn, head and signal light wiring. All of the instruments have been removed and tested professionally and speedometer rebuilt. New American racing wheels with new Remington tires were installed on all four corners, along with rebuilding the brakes stock disc up front and drum at the rear. The upholstery was completely refurbished by Rauls upholstery in Bakersfield. Yours truly performed all of the mechanical and body work using a two part Polyprimer. Tom Youngblood of Tehachapi applied the final coat using Sherwin Williams two stage Ultra 7000 Indigo blue on the bottom and Pouter on the top. All the chrome has been replaced and SS polished. A new windshield was installed by Tehachapi Glass.
