1967 Volkswagen Beetle, 1.5 liter, 4 cylinder, 4 speed manual transmission. In my opinion the 1967 model year beetle is: the best beetle ever built. Still with the old style bumper but all the improvements for the future. This car was sold by my father to the townsmajors daughter in 1966 and came back to our dealership as a one owner car in 1986.
Our mechanics then prepared it for an extra long lasting beetle life, before being shipped to Canada in 1987. It has been with the family ever since. The odometer has come round once and sits at about 20 000 now. Making a total of about 120,000 km in 40 some years.
The car came factory equipped with a 1.5 ltr engine and 4 speed transmission, well known also from the VW transporter. Still going strong. Front disc brakes, a wider double link rear axle (like seen on Porsches) were standard for the KRAFTEI (power-egg) as it was called. It is equipped with 12volt battery and heated rear window, also three point seatbelts and headrests. The original Wolfsburg Radio.
The car belongs to our son, who would like to sell it for raising money to build a new house for his family of 5.
