1968 Chevrolet Impala, Midnight Blue, 72,050 Miles
1968 Chevrolet Impala. Automatic Transmission, 4-door coupe. 396 ci x 325 hp motor, 3-speed TurboHydro 400 transmission, air conditioning, power steering, and full carpet. The dual exhaust is complete. The interior upholstery is in good shape and the carpet is intact but needs either cleaning or replacement. There is a replacement package shelf for the rear window as a previous leak stained it. There is some rust at the General Motors official rust points on each side. The rust has been covered with Bondo and the car then painted. I am not certain how big the rust spots are, but a magnet indicates they are only a few inches in size. I can't find any evidence of collision damage. The roof is good but grey primered only - there may have been a vinyl roof at one time. The trunk shows minor rust due to condensation but no rust through. The gas tank is solid and the car works fine as an every day driver (though I don't use it that way). It is better than a Level 4 car and might be considered Level 3. I've owned the car since 2002 and it has been garaged or under cover the whole time.
To knowledge engine and transmission are original.
