1930 Ford Model A Pick-up, Rock Moss Green/Black Leather

1930 Ford A Pick-up. 331 cubic inch Chrysler Hemi engine, Chevy 5 speed manual transmission, Ford 9” Positive 411-1 rear. Pro built using many Vintage parts. Rebuilt engine and rebuilt transmission. All steel body is chopped, channeled, bed is bobbed. Leather interior, Buick brakes, Pin striped by Brian Papa. Many Magazine features & winner at Nats. South, Shades of the Past and Good-guy.

Tech sheet for 1930 Ford Model A pickup:
Drive train--- 1955 Chrysler Hemi, 331 cu. in. bored 60 over with Ross 10-1 compression pistons, Isky 280 Mega cam, stock rods & heads, Hot Heads hi rise 4 bbl intake with Edelbrock 600 carb, Hot Heads headers with hidden cutouts extended to rear of the cab & all powder coated. Hot Heads brackets & pulleys use Chevy alt. & water pump. A Chevy Getrag 5 speed manual transmission is used with a Hot Heads adapter plate & hyd. clutch. A heavy duty drive shaft hooks to a Ford 9 in. Posi 411-1 gear rear end. Pete & Jakes ladder bars & Posies springs locate the rear & front suspension which has been chrome plated.

Chassis----A stock frame has been truss boxed for strength, the front axle moved forward 5 in. & the frame kicked up 10 in. in the rear for axle clearance.
Front brakes are 39 Lincoln with early Buick drums in front & stock Ford drums in rear, all suspension has been chromed.

Wheels & tires----Firestone tires from Coker 500-15 front & 820-15 dirt track tires in rear. American Racing grey spoke Tork Thrust wheels 5-15 & 7-15 are used front & back.

Body & Paint--- The top has been chopped 2.5 in. & the body channeled 4in. over the frame. The bed is shortened 8.5 in to center the wheelbase in the bed side while old carpenters levels are used for bed rails. A 1929 grill shell covers a Walker rad. is used with vintage 30 A headlights converted to also house the turn signals. Rare Chrysler Crown Imperial tail lights are used in the rear. A custom 12 gal. gas tank was made on a model T pattern & has leather straps as accents.

The paint is original Rock Moss Green & is pinstriped & lettered by Brian Papa. The paint was sanded thru to the primer in all the placed you would expect a hot rod to be worn in after a 30 year build but not so much as to look fake, just a pleasing antique patina pleasant to any hot roders eye. The visor is drilled & countersunk & the cowl is smoothed of its gas cap. The door art is a vinyl sign & can be removed if desired. Also my stripper says the lettering on the doors can also be changed to suite any new owner.

Interior--- The interior is mostly original in appearance with the custom seat covered in black leather with lucky horseshoe accents in the back. Door panels & other trim is original black cardboard & exposed wood top ribs. The top is also original Cobra grain vinyl. The gauge panel is a Cushman part & is filled with the basic hot rod gauges as well as a line lock for the front wheels. Lokar E-brake & shifter.
Gauges are vintage Stewart Warners with a cup mounted 6000rpm tack.All wiring was done as original and wrapped in cloth string as no tie wraps were used in this build.Other details are an Arvin heater, original dispatch pouch, small horseshoes for brake & clutch pedal pads, storage under & behind the seat.
