1948 Plymouth Special Deluxe, Red/Gray, 98,000 Miles
1948 Plymouth Hot Rod. Mildly built 440, 727 transmission with stage 2 torque converter with ratchet shifter. Both completely rebuilt with less than 1,000 miles on them. Sub-frame and rear end are from a Pontiac, balance steel drive shaft, Flaming River steering column with tilt wheel and power steering. Power disk brakes in front and drum in rear, brakes are all new. New Pioneer stereo and speakers. Painless wiring throughout car with the main board hidden in the trunk. Paint color is Ford Electric Current Poly. Paint needs some touch up. Tail light assemblies are after market LED styled after a 1939 Ford. Third brake light is LED and flashes 3 to 4 times before coming on solid. Door handles are shaved. Has door poppers. Autometer gauges = gas, oil, volt, water. Original speed odometer worked until recently. The cable broke about 1,000 miles ago. Electric wipers. Chrome wheels are Street Star with spinner cap and in the center of the spinner is the Chrysler/Mopar Pentastar. Interior is 6 years old with the exception of the carpet which was redone 2 years ago. Dual 6-way power seats. Vintage fuel lines. Has new Vintage heat and air (air conditioner has not been charged yet). Has polished aluminum serpentine drive belt system. Aluminum radiator. Small crack in drivers window. The car is originally out of Ohio. We have a copy of the Ohio title that states Actual Miles-Not Exempt. Has since been titled in Oregon with original Oregon 1948 Plates which are silver with red letters/numbers which match nicely with the car. All receipts go with the car.
